Honors Escort Lapel Pins

VA Pittsburgh has joined other VA medical centers across the country in launching a new program called Honors Escort, which provides a ceremonial escort for patients who pass away. The program includes the veteran's family and a group of dedicated volunteers who perform a bedside flag service. Then, with the flag placed over the patient's gurney, the team escorts the veteran to the on-site morgue.
