GSJJ AI Data Protection Policy

At GS-JJ, we use artificial intelligence (“AI”) as a tool to help customers express their ideas and complete designs more efficiently. We respect the rights of designers, brands, businesses, and customers to control their original works, commercial designs, intellectual property, and data. This policy explains how GS-JJ’s AI tools are used and the measures we take to protect customer designs and information.

GS-JJ does not develop, train, or operate its own generative AI foundation models.
Where AI is used as part of our services, our AI Designer accesses generative AI services provided by established third-party providers such as Google and OpenAI through application programming interfaces (“APIs”). These services may process information submitted by customers, including text descriptions, design requirements, reference materials, and other information that is necessary to generate a requested design.
GS-JJ does not use customer data to train or improve third-party AI models, and GS-JJ does not use customer works to train, fine-tune, or develop our own models. We take reasonable measures to minimize the data shared with third-party AI services and configure the services we use in accordance with their applicable enterprise and API data-use controls.

Your designs are not GS-JJ’s AI training data.
GS-JJ does not use customers’ original designs, logos, illustrations, brand materials, design requirements, order-related design files, or AI-generated results to train, fine-tune, or develop GS-JJ’s own AI models or training datasets. Where their-party provider controls are available, GS-JJ does not actively enable or authorize the use of customer data for third-party model training or improvement.

GS-JJ follows the principle of data minimization. We process customer data only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the services requested by the customer and to satisfy applicable security, operational, legal, and contractual requirements. The fact that customer data is processed by GS-JJ’s systems or transmitted to a third-party AI service does not, by itself, make that data AI training material.
GS-JJ does not use customer designs for AI-related purposes unrelated to the services requested by the customer, except where processing is necessary for legitimate security, legal, operational, or compliance purposes.

We understand that customer designs may contain original creative works, trade secrets, confidential information, proprietary materials, trademarks, or other important intellectual property. Submitting a design to GS-JJ for quotation, design development, sampling, production, or other services does not authorize GS-JJ to use that design to train, fine-tune, or develop AI models.
Customers who have additional confidentiality, intellectual property, or data-use requirements may request a Non-Disclosure Agreement (“NDA”). An NDA can provide additional clarity regarding the confidentiality obligations and responsibilities of both parties. If you require an NDA of have specific confidentiality requirements, please contact our after-sales team for additional assistance.

GS-JJ accesses third-party generative AI services through API and enterprise arrangements rather than by submitting customer designs to publicly available consumer AI tools.
We configure the third-party services we use in accordance with the applicable data-use policies and controls available to us and prioritize established AI service providers that offer defined enterprise and API data protection practices. For example, OpenAI’s API services generally provide that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models unless the customer actively opts to share such data. Similarly, Google Gemini API projects with billing enabled generally provide that prompts and responses are not used for product improvement or model development by default. Different data-use rules may apply depending on the specific service, configuration, or settings selected by the account or project owner.
GS-JJ relies on the applicable API, privacy, security, and data-use policies of the third-party providers whose services we use, including, but not limited to, Google and OpenAI. Because third-party providers may change their policies, technical capabilities, security
practices, retention periods, or data-processing terms over time, GS-JJ does not make absolute representations regarding systems or processing activities that are outside GS-JJ’s direct technical or contractual control. Third-party providers may also process or retain certain information as permitted by their applicable policies and agreements for purposes such as security monitoring, abuse prevention, legal compliance, troubleshooting, or operating and protecting their services.
GS-JJ will continue to monitor the policies and capabilities of the third-party AI services it uses and will adjust its data protection practices as appropriate.

AI technology, data-protection practices, and applicable regulations continue to evolve. GS-JJ may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the AI services we use, applicable laws and regulations, and the policies or technical capabilities of third-party service providers.
