Your digital design is first transformed into a physical mold – the foundation for every custom pin. Step 2: Stamp & cut out the design is stamped onto a metal plate, and a separate machine precisely punches out the pin's shape. Step 3: Electroplate an outer metal layer is added for finish and durability. Note: Hard and soft enamel pins are both electroplated, but at different stages of production. Step 4: Enamel & bake the pin is brought to life with vibrant enamel, applied either by machine injection or by hand, then baked to set.

We have no minimum order quantity; you can order as few as one piece. However, please keep in mind the cost structure: creating a custom pin requires a fixed mold fee, which remains the same whether you order 1 or 100 lapel pins. Because this one-time setup cost is spread across the total number of items, ordering a larger quantity is much more cost-effective.

Hard enamel goes on as a powdered polymer and is fired in a kiln to set the enamel. Soft enamel is similar to car paint, applies as a liquid, and then is baked to dry. Hard enamel is smoother to the touch, but soft enamel has deeper traces in detail, providing a tactile feel to your custom lapel pin. Hard and Soft Enamel Pins have many similarities. They’re made the same way before color filling. Both styles are die-struck out of steel or brass. Die striking leaves indentations where the color fills to ensure that metal lines remain raised to separate colors and add detail. While they share a foundation, understanding the differences between hard and soft enamel is key to choosing the right look for your project. - Both styles of the pin are handmade and hand-finished. Your artworks belong to you, and we would only use them for your orders. Your designs and molds won't be available or sold to other clients in the future. No one can order your designs or incorporate your elements into their designs. If you request, we will not even use your products in our marketing material. Your molds will be available for your use for up to 2 years.
