Description
Forged to commemorate the operational partnership between Australian and Thai special operations forces, this shield-shaped military joint special forces woven patch measures 4 inches in height, finished with a rugged black merrowed border and a heavy-duty Velcro hook backing for secure, removable attachment to tactical vests, plate carriers and duty uniforms. Across the upper edge, the Australian and Thai national flags sit on either side of the “SOTF ODA” unit designation. A snarling brown dingo and a fierce golden lion face inward from each flank, framing a central circular insignia that bears “1st SPECIAL FORCES” text, a red beret emblem, crossed small arms and Thai script beneath. The central crest stands out against the black background, framed by golden wattle sprigs. “AUS” and “THAI” appear in the lower corners, with a single gold star placed beneath them.
The velcro hook backing makes the patch easy to attach and remove from different gear. The emblem stays clear and easy to read, with the stars, stripes, and central crest giving the design its main visual focus. Precision high-density weaving reproduces every subtle detail with clean definition—from the fine stars and stripes of the national flags and the textured fur of the animal figures to the delicate wattle foliage and compact lettering—maintaining a sharp, fade-resistant appearance even through repeated field exposure and laundering.
Military forces, joint task groups, and defense organizations worldwide can order custom woven patches from GS-JJ. Each patch closely follows the unit’s insignia and artwork specifications, with excellent quality and durable construction suited to regular use.
