Strength From The Sea — U.S. Navy

“We are the United States Navy, our nations' sea power - ready guardians of peace, victorious in war. “ This is motto from the United States Navy. With the world's largest carrier fleet and a battle fleet tonnage estimated as larger than the next 13 largest navies combined, the U.S. Navy is the pride of the seas, pride of the Nation. The origin of Navy was in the colonial seafaring tradition, which produced many units of sailors, captains, and ship builders etc. In the early stages of the American Revolutionary War, Massachusetts had its own Massachusetts Naval Militia. Firstly, the rationale for establishing a national navy was debated in the Second Continental Congress. Till Commander in Chief George Washington resolved the debate when he commissioned the ocean-going schooner USS Hannah to identify and interdict threats from British merchant ships, and reported the captures and advantages to the Congress. On 13 October 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the purchase of two vessels to be armed for a cruise against British merchant ships, this resolution created the Continental Navy and is considered the first establishment of the U.S. Navy. The fast growth of U.S. Navy was at the Second World War. After the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, the U.S. Navy was supported the war as two-front force and expanded sharply, and at its highest point in the war the Navy was operating 6,768 ships.

America’s Navy is necessary and important force as relevant today, and it has been historically significant for the last 238 years. The threats from the ocean and sea may become more obscure. The complex nature of 21st century life may make the obvious demand for power force in Navy. And now more than ever, the Navy Force is something to be aware of and proud of.
